Abstract


The construction of a 3-phase motor operation indicator exposes the techniques and skills employed in the construction of complex electrical circuit. The combination of contactors overload relay and other component to achieved the desired goal is diagrammatically and descriptively treated of practical knowledge.

1.0 Introduction

1.1 Background

This project is on the construction of a 3-phase motor operation indicator this involve the starting and stopping of the motor


1.2 Aim and Objectives

The aim of this project construction is to offer an indicating means as when the motor is running at normal operating condition and when it is under fault condition respectively.


1.3 The Scope of the Project

The scope of this project construction ranges from the purchasing of some components (electrical) and employing of all technical skills and knowledge in engineering principles to achieve the aim in the control and indication of the operation of three phase electric motor. This involve the usage of a contactor overload relays start and stop push bottoms pilot lamps and other component geared at achieving the desired goal earlier stated

This project reports is explained and categorized into chapter aim at expositing each point involved in the construction of this project.

  • Chapter one involves the prerequisite to the aim that necessities this project construction it also talk about the scope of the project.
  • Chapter two is on the reviews of literature, which also make room for the explanation of term/components used in the causes of construction.
  • Chapter three also involve the principles of operation of the project and other features of the project.
  • Chapter four talks about the steps involve in the project construction packaging and testing
  • Finally chapter five provides the conclusion recommendation and references involve in the process of making this project a reality.

5.1 Conclusion

Before and after the contraction of the project I uncounted some problems which include:

  1. Lack of fund by school in providing required tool and equipment in the workshop
  2. Lack of fund to start the project as it is costly despite it impaction of knowledge.
  3. The use of workshop by lectures for lecturing

5.2 Recommendation

Having concluded this project with its obvious problems and constraints I hereby recommend that in view of the importance of this project in companies factories workshops industries in reducing the partial or total lost of electric motor as a result of mal-operation caused by indecisive operator not overemphasis. It is therefore necessary workshops etc. to give this project adequate diffusion.
