In the same way, less than 60 percent of pupils turned our from primary school secure admission into secondary school .These statistics, reveal the damager to society of exposing our youths to drug .
- The family as the primary agent of socialization, has degenerated thereby exposing our stouts as easy prey of drug abuse. A close relationship between the child and the parent at early age will not only expose the dangers inherent in drug but it will help the children to avoid drug in it infinity . Also, the media especially the electronic media has enoronous role to pray in the struggle agents drug abuse by not encouraging commercials that promote the sale of products like tobacco not considering the finical profit that may be accursed from such advertisement. .

5.3 Recommendations
In view of the forging discussion, a few observations and recommendations could be made for consideration and implementation .This is necessary in view of the fact that more has to be done of drug abuse problem are to be fully addressed sequel to the findings of this research, the following recommendation were made by the researcher:
No public policy can such, no matter how good the insertion, if the people for which it is meant are not mobilized to participate in its implementation or to see the need for such police, In relation to control of drug abuse, the government of this country has establisher the national drug land enforcement Agedly (NDLEA)
The generality of the people of this country should make NDLEA. But unless such efforts are supported by the people, and the activities of this Agency, this war will be a meaningless exercise. If the people are willing for example, to expose drug users among then, they will be contributing in no small measure towards eradication of the problem. This is a war that has to involve people of all professions, age group and sexes.
The adoption and implementation of socially oriented polices by any administration is a testimony to the desire to alleviate some of the socio-economic problems but push the youths to be involved in crime ,including drug abuse.
The remigration of existing bodies like the National Directorate of employment (NDE) people’s Bank of Nigeria and community Banks all aimed at the limiting the problem of unemployment . Adopting these policies all will help address the socio-economies problems of the country which, as it has been argued, constitutive the major causes of our drug problems.
The Electronic Media Should Emphasized on setting up a workable drug abuse counseling centers in both rural and urban areas. This centuries should be properly staffed, trained in drug abuse prevention and treatment as will as intervening .
I also recommend that this center should comprise of at least a modest rooms with adequate space to accommodate a table, chair, file cabinet drawers, bookshelf. The more worms there are, the better the facilities for individual and group counseling .providing the centers with modern recording /play book equipment like television video and audio tape recorder, cassette tape and other educational information and public enlightenment material such as posters, handbills, books ,magazines and journal, play and relaxation material such as lido, scrabble, monopoly and table tennis equipments will go a long way to redirect the minds of our youths off drug and concentrate on profitable ventures that will prepare them for the future.
The electronic media should intensify their public awareness cam pain by organizing Drama, symposium, lectures, on the only in the urban areas also in our rural are should this campaign be made available because research has shown that Nigeria youths in both rural and urban area and of different socio-economic background indulge in the use and abuse of dangerous and illicit drugs. This campaign should also be extended to the primary, secondary and tertiary institution were these is prevalent
I also recommend drug abuse education in schools and this should be pursued by providing factual information, This additional instruction should infuse drug education into existing school curriculum. Related to this is the establishment and encouraging of drug free clubs in our schools. This will help in eradicating drug abuse from the grassroots.
The introduction of social welfare progamme which will involve in the treatment of identified drug dependent persons and in the design of programmes that would aid the meaningful rehabilitation and social integration of such persons into the society.
Finally, the electronic media being an effective instrument for mass mobilization should encourage the Government to establish counseling centers in churches, mosques, market, town halls, recreation centers, Hospitals .This will provide the therapeutic environment that allows a two- way communicative interaction to take place between counselor and client.
