Aim And Objectives of the Study

  2. To what extent do cultural norms and beliefs in PHALGA shape parenting styles and contribute to the occurrence of child abuse within households?

Research Hypotheses


  • Null Hypothesis (H0): There is no significant relationship between parenting styles and the prevalence or types of child abuse experienced by children in PHALGA.
  • Alternative Hypothesis (H1): Different parenting styles significantly influence the prevalence and types of child abuse experienced by children in PHALGA, with authoritarian parenting being positively associated with higher rates of abuse, while authoritative parenting is negatively associated with abuse.
