Introduction

1.1 Background Of The Study

Coronaviruses are a wide family of viruses that can induce anything from a mild cold to more serious illnesses like Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Extreme Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).In Wuhan, China, a new coronavirus (COVID-19) was discovered in 2019. This is a brand-new coronavirus that has never been seen in humans before. The disease is having an effect on the whole globe in ways that no one would understand. It walked into our lives out of nowhere and opened the Pandora box of so many disastrous consequences for mankind. To succeed, we must take care of our lives and learn coping mechanisms to deal with the challenges that arise as a result of the pandemic. These days will, without a doubt, pass.People’s lives are somewhat different now than they were before Covid-19 spread.Children, for example, used to play in the park and go and school to stay physically active; adults, on the other hand, used to go to work on a daily basis, keeping themselves occupied and socially active. In addition, housewives used to follow a regular schedule and socialize with their neighbours. However, with Covid-19, several people begin to experience changes in their daily routines and become more passive, isolated, and lonely.

Covid-19 has also given rise to new obligations. For example, many people are beginning to work from home and have virtual meetings. Children and adolescents receive their education through the internet or television, and every section of society is likely to be affected by the pandemic in some way. This new obligations and improvements resulted in some benefits and drawbacks.

1.2 Statement Of The Problem

The COVID-19 outbreak has a far-reaching effect on people’s bodies, not just on their lungs. It has a much broader effect on people’s social well-being. With the rapid rise in the number of cases, many areas and people are experiencing elevated levels of public anxiety and concern. As a result, countries all over the world have implemented serious lock-down and quarantine measures. Parents and children living through COVID-19 are faced with numerous challenges, their children’s well-being, and the well-being of relatives and friends outside their home have all been listed as top stressors for parents and carers during COVID-19, according to recent studies (Waite and Creswell, 2020).Concerningly, two-thirds of parents claim they are unable to balance the demands of jobs and their children’s well-being (Waite and Creswell, 2020). High unemployment and economic instability are both possible issues, as is a loss in social care and on-site education, as well as access to vital clinical, community, and sports events, such as greenspace and playground. The rise in time spent with relatives and family friends is one of the most noticeable consequences of the month-long lock-down. There are a lot of connections and conversations going on, and people’s relationships are changing at the same time. Tensions may quickly arise or be exacerbated as a result of these intimate encounters. Domestic abuse is becoming more prevalent across the world as a result of increased interaction. Another target of the domestic are women. Outside of the pandemic, several of these threats has been seen to have a negative effect on family well-being (Marin et al., 2011; Olesen et al., 2013; Bakusic et al., 2017; Leigh-Hunt et al., 2017; Wang et al., 2017; Lupien et al., 2018).

1.3 Objective Of The Study

To find out if the Corona Virus (COVID 19) caused closure of state borders to hinder family visitation.
To assess the impact of COVID-19 on family bonding

1.5 Significance Of The Study

The significance of this research work focus on the impact of COVID-19 on family bonding and its impact, this research work would serve as material foe anyone willing to study or research on this same topic.

Corona-Virus:

Corona-viruses are a large family of viruses that are known to cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

Family Bonding:

Family bonding time is when the family shares quality time together. This is a time that the family has set aside to engage with one another over a series of games or a major enjoyable project.
