Objective of the Study


  1. To examine the impact of macroeconomic factors such as GDP growth rates, inflation levels, and exchange rate stability on investment trends in West Africa, thereby providing insights into the relationship between economic indicators and investment behavior (Asiedu, 2020).

  2. To assess the influence of infrastructure deficiencies, political instability, and governance challenges on investment decisions in West Africa, aiming to identify key barriers and potential areas for policy intervention to promote a conducive investment climate (Adegbite et al., 2021).

  3. To explore the role of regulatory frameworks, institutional quality, and access to finance in shaping investment patterns in West Africa, with the objective of identifying policy recommendations to enhance the ease of doing business and attract investment inflows (Ajide et al., 2022).

  4. To investigate the potential opportunities and challenges presented by regional integration initiatives in West Africa, including the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), and their impact on cross-border investment flows and market integration (IMF, 2023).
